Drusilla Seafood Restaurant: A Classic Baton Rouge Culinary Gem

Since moving to New Orleans we had not eaten at Drusilla Seafood Restaurant in several years. This is unfortunately as we had forgotten how good it was. We really like the atmosphere and the decor is nice with lots of seating and several private dining rooms. The food is local specialties and is very good. We love the complementary hush puppies and the fish dishes are great. The service is also excellent, our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely return soon.

I quit going to Drusilla Seafood Restaurant about twenty years ago because I thought the quality of their dinners had gone down in quality. Well, they are back to serving GREAT FOOD!!! From the salad to the hush puppies to the entrees to the desserts, everything that both my wife and I had were over the top delicious!!! If you have not been there recently, you may want to go back and give them a try now.

We decided to go to Drusilla for our Christmas Eve dinner this year and had a wonderful experience. The service exceeded our expectations and the food was just incredible. Highly recommend the fried shrimp, au gratin, and the chicken piccata. Everything was done to perfection. Even the kids chicken fingers were homemade. Thank you for making our evening so special! We will be back soon!

Our Sunday visit to Drusilla Seafood exceeded expectations from the moment we walked in. The host promptly greeted us, swiftly guiding us to a table where the attentive waiter and assistant promptly delivered water. As we perused the menu, a delightful surprise of hushpuppies appeared, setting a positive tone. Ordering was a breeze, and the food arrived within a reasonable 25-30 minutes, with a minor order mishap promptly rectified by our attentive waiter. Throughout the meal, his exceptional service stood out, ensuring our needs were met promptly, including keeping our water glasses filled. The dishes, arriving fresh and hot, added to the overall culinary delight. The restaurant's commitment to cleanliness extended to the restrooms, boasting a refreshing and clean ambiance. A noteworthy feature is their accommodation of large parties, offering free room usage for diners – a generous amenity that enhances the dining experience. Conveniently located off the interstate, Drusilla Seafood's easily accessible entrances make it a prime choice for seafood enthusiasts. In conclusion, I highly recommend this establishment for an outstanding seafood experience, blending excellent service, delectable dishes, and thoughtful amenities.

13 of us had dinner on 4 separate checks. Service was wonderful. Food...well the really bad part is there are too many wonderful selections. Every eggplant dish was so flavorful. You could taste the eggplant & the seafood. The pasta was wonderful. The gumbo was a bit salty but everyone enjoyed the crawfish etoufee

I went to a birthday dinner in one of the many private rooms. Service was excellent and the food was great. Even though we had about 60 people all the food arrived at the same time and it was hot. We had 5 entrees to choose from. Started with water and tea. Then they brought out salads after the salad the entrees. I would rate from beginning to end a 10 out of 10. I almost forgot they brought out hot and delicious hush puppies before we got our salad. Delicious ! I definitely will be going back soon.

I had lunch with a friend here today and was very pleased. The warm friendly greeting by the desk, the outstanding service from Daii who was attentive and full of positive personality, to delicious food everything was exemplary. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. My friend had the fish Almandine and a sweet potato and was very happy with the flavor, texture, and presentation. I had the Drusilla which is a fish filet with an onion and mushroom sauce and a baked potato. The flavors were a perfect meld and the presentation was good. We both had house salad with Sensation sauce which was delicious. Overall, it is an old-school seafood experience which is harder to find in this day and age. Great service, a warm and receptive atmosphere and outstanding food. I will certainly be back.
